congressman's district office according to staff. >> pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop. 30-round clip, you're all gonna drop. >> reporter: the caller continues with expletives and references to the constitution for another 30 seconds. he tweeted hiresponse saying "i'm not afraid. not of this caller, not of the nra." that message could pave the way for swalwell as he is expected to launch a presidential run, raising the profile of his platform. >> it allows him to say i'm tough, i'm here, i'm not going to back down. and that's the kind of person you're going to get if you're to elect me to higher office. >> reporter: swalwell has been a visible and vocal advocate for stopping gun violence. he cosponsored three gun control bills this year for expanded background checks and assault weapons bans and gun restrictions for domestic violence criminal. >> there was a time in this

>> swalwell plans to announce his presidential bid tuesday on the late show with stephen colbert. he sent us a text message tonight saying "no news from us." but he is planning a rally to end gun violence 13 miles from parkland's shooting site. protest rallies in cities around the nation calling for the immediate release of the mueller report. hundreds of people rallied in the north bay. >> reporter: two weeks tomorrow, and the report is still under wraps. rallies happened in more than 50 cities across the country, demanding details. >> reporter: discontent rumbling through san rafael's downtown.

march 29 at oak and fillmore. police arrested berglund last night in the tenderloin. in santa cruz, a 21-year-old man is facing charges for allegedly filming female students during a swim meet. investigators say he was filming female students on the pool deck. further investigation found he had been filming young girls in various public areas throughout santa cruz. the apple store on 4th street in berkeley has been hit by the same group of thieves four times in just a week. they stole phones and laptops worth about $30,000. >> reporter: berkeley polic these three men stole from the apple store on 4th street. >> the past week, we have had four different thefts at the apple store here. we're hoping these pictures, somebody will

recognize the suspects in these photographs and let us know about it. >> reporter: one of the men first came in last thursday at 10:30. >> a young man entered the store. looked at the displays. went to collect the phone that he wanted, snatched it off the cable and ran out of the store. >> reporter: that one phone was worth $1,200. the same group returned hours later and stole three laptops. >> what's unusual is that they came back twice. that morning and later that afternoon. >> reporter: the surveillance photos were taken from this camera on a pole outside the store. similar to these smash and grabs. other thieves filled the void. shoppers we spoke to were concerned. >> it's happening all over the bay.

star wars galaxy's edge opening may 31st at the disneyland resort police in san jose are investigating a fatal stabbing. it happened about 7:00 tonight on north capitol avenue. officers say the may victim died, male victim died at the hospital. no word on any arrests yet. this is san jose's 11th homicide this year. police in alled mear investigating a body found at the scene of a brush fire in a

city park. the body was found this afternoon in veterans memorial park near the bridge. city firefighters spotted the body when they put out a small vegetation fire about 2:00 pm. it is not clear if the death involves foul play. president trump is scheduled to be in california tomorrow for a visit to the us/mexico border. he plans to survey a section of border fencing that was recently fortified. the president is backing off his plan to shut down the border. >> if the drugs don't stop, we're gonna put tariffs on. you know i will do it. i don't play games. i'll do it. >> reporter: president trump says he won't be shutting down the border in the next few days like he threatened because he says mexico's enforcement has been better in the last few days. still the president is warning mexico about a potential future tariff on cars. >> we told them, if you don't do
